  1. Hey Moe...Lets Wrap Up the Oscars.

Any stand out moments on the Red Carpet for you?

  2. The slumdog kids were so excited that they were delightful!

Also Dev Patel told Ben Mulroney that he loves H&M and was wearing H&M undies!!! So cute

Vanessa and Zac were gross. I don't like the Disney kids...

    what about you?

  3. The Slumdog kids were cute, and the way Ryan Seacrest talked to them was embarrassing.

Speaking of Disney Kids...Miley Cirus was just horrible...everything she said, but especially the part where she expects to be honoured next year for her role in the new Hannah Montana movie. Are you really that delusional? SHUT UP!

Also...Did you see the way Beoynce posed with her hands on her face to show off her rings. It was mockable.

  4. and when Miley said that she wanted to see Angie because she was her favorite person in all history... read a book!

Most of the interviewing was embarassing and most of the people being interviewed seemed like they really hated it!

  5. No Kidding....It was like watching people being tortured. Lets move inside the Kodak Theatre.

I loved the sets this year.

  6. I LOVED the lamps with the tassel... they actually looked like the top of the tassel was shaped like an oscar. I like all the crystals hanging down and the audience seemed really close, which was nice.

I was pretty unsure about Hugh... I've seen him at the Tony's but he seemed to be just sort of laughing at him self and a bit crazy in the opening number. He was funny but he's no Billy Crystal!

  7. Yeah...I am not sold on Hugh or the surprise presenter idea...I would have rather seen more stars walk the red carpet. That crystal curtain was amazing and must have cost a fortune. Apparently people liked Hugh.

I loved the adapted/original screenplay bit and Steve Martin and Tina Fey were hilarious. "Don't fall in love with me."

  8. I liked that the nominee's got a nice moment ... they could cut down a bunch of the awards. It was pretty freakin long! We had a pool at work and I got 16/24 correct... the next closest was 11/24

Sean Penn had a great speech and then Dustin Lance Black, who wrote MILK, was amazing!

  9. I agree with all that!

How funny was the bit with James Franco, Januz Kaminski, and Seth Rogen!! I loved that as well as both ESL Japanese speeches...the guy that ended with Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto!

Heath's family looked really good - loved the Mom and Sister's dresses and their speeches were great.

I think they really did a bad job with the "in memorum" or what ever the hell its called...you could barely see the people.

  10. the pineapple express bit was funny! I am not a fan of the dead people parade. I think it's tacky.

I didn't get that Ben Stiller was doing a Joaquin Phoenix. I just heard someone talking about it tonight.

Beyonce sang her ass off and it was pretty great but they jumped from song song a bit strangely!

  11. Oh my God! Thanks for reminding me about the Joaquin bit. I thought I posted that when it happened, mind you, when you are blogging and watching you miss a lot. That was a great moment....and I hope that the project that Casey and he are working on tanks. We are on to you...Bye Good!

Anything Else about the actual awards??

  12. I like the idea of having a story through the show but I think they could have been a bit more creative... a story about how a movie gets made? How about they do like a murder mystery night or have some crazy RomCom story running through the eve... something more creative? and I could do with out a lot of the awards that were boring and speeches about agents, lawyers, blah blah blah

    That's it... on to dresses?

  13. On to the Good Stuff! First...I just want to say that the shows are really trashing Amy Adams. I don't have her in my best or worst but if you honestly think she was worse than that Horid House of Dereon creation that Beyonce wore then you should just check yourself straight into rehab.

Lets start with the best...For me it was probably Taraji P. Henson in Roberto Cavalli white layers with that Fred Leighton necklace that was amazing...

  14. I just saw someone say that Freida Pinto was the worst! ARE YOU ON CRACK? That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard..

I had a hard time picking between 2 for my best so I'm gonna say them both

Tina Fey, but I would have like more relaxed hair, she looked hot and it was so sparkly and generally just gorgeous

Taraji, I loved the dress! and she had a cute red satin clutch to kick it up a notch. I would wear that dress.. you know, around the house... when I'm vacuuming or whatever.

    Loved them both!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes...you could totally vacuum in that dress. I agree completely with you on Tina Fey. Dress=Good Hair=Bad. I have decided that I think I liked Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive (notice it is all whites/neutrals so far).
For Black, I really liked Diane Lane in Dolce & Gabbana...she looked good from head to toe.

Natalie Portman looked great in that Pink Rodarte, but she is so tiny it would be hard to screw up. I also think I liked Evan Rachel Wood's Elie Saab Neutral dress. She could have been tragic and she wasn't.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Evan Rachel Wood looked like a dead flesh toned popsicle... seriously, that was alarming.

I liked Natalie Portman, it had different coloured crystals on the bodice and I loved the black nail polish

Anne Hathaway looked great, at first the dress seemed like it was a bit empty at the top but I think it just needed to be adjusted after sitting in the car

I loved Jen Anistons dress but overall she was to casual, the messy hair and braid didn't do it for me.

I have to also give a shout out to Tilda Swinton. She just wears what she loves and everyone just has to deal with it.

Should we talk about SJP's scary cleavage? Dude, it was alarming!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes...Let's Deal With SJP. Her hair was so bad that it ruined the dress and I don't even think I liked the dress. Seriously. I really looked at the dress and I liked the bodice, but what it did to her breasts was dangerous. Those sisters were ready to pop.

I am having a hard time with Miley's dress. To be honest, if Reese Witherspoon wore it, it might have been a favorite, but she just did something to it that made it look like whit trash cabbage.

Can we talk about the train wreck that was Heidi Klum?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I can't talk about Miley, she's a Disney kid and shouldn't have been there.

SJP I usually love! I like the belt and the bodice with a bit more coverage. I despised the bottom. I hate giant princess gowns... Pen Cruz had a similar style bottom and I hated that to

Heidi Klum looked like her hair had vasaline in it and she was wearing way to much of the same jewellery... ring, tons of bracelets and GIANT earrings... to much

Melissa George in D&G, I don't like mermaid dresses either and I really hated that dress. I'm not a big fan of an all white dress unless it's a wedding, even then I prefer ivory, and all white doesn't look good on tv. Why was she even there?

    Reese, what the hell?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Miley was there because Bolt was nominated...ans somehow she thinks that means the Academy is honouring her. HA. Melissa George looked horrible and I have no idea why she was there. She is barely a star!

I agree with you on Heidi. Bad Hair, Too Much Jewelry, an the dress was just bad.

Speaking of people I normally LOVE....Reese Witherspoon has worn some amazing gowns to the Oscars, but what the hell was with that Black and Blue thing. Someone described it as a bruise.

    ReplyDelete
  20. haha a bruise... she looked strapped in with giant black duct tape! and her dark eyeshadow... dude, fire the stylist quick

Ok, how about some of the men? I don't get the toque on Philip S H. It was a bit strange! RD Jr looked fabulous... my love for him grows! I liked John Legends brown suit but he seemed a little drunk and Seth Rogen was in VELVET! That crazy guy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh the men...RDJ was seriously overwhelming...something happened to him and he just glowed with pure awesomeness.

I loved Seth in velvet...in the man department they were a bit lacking in people I really care about.

I must dedicate more time to my hatred of Beyonce's dress. That was designed by her and her mom. It was ridiculous. I actually let out a snort type laugh when I saw it.

Good News for me though -I now know that there is a dress out there that is worse than my Grad Dress.

    ReplyDelete
  22. hahahaha ... your Grad Dres... hahahha

    Beyonce's dress was so bad!

I didn't like Kate W, I wanted to, I like her, it was to smooth!

Marisa T, it was to foldy, I would have liked it if it was a cocktail dress and only came to the knee... maybe.

Jessica B and the barfing fabric dress? Dude, what up! and please brush your hair! but I loved her earrings!

Speaking of earrings, I am not a big Brang fan, I mean they are fine but I don't get why people scream when they see them, but I loved the earrings! I didn't like the neckline of her dress but she looked nice, boring, but nice.

I am distressed at the amount of red because if that trickles down, way down to my level, I look like crap in red. And there was a lot of really smooth hair... I didn't like the hair in general, Nat P and Anne H but other than that no stand outs...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Barfing Fabric is the best description of Jessica Biel's dress...and I did not like.

I think that if a model stomped the runway in Marisa Tomei's dress it would look great, but it just isn't meant to live a non-runway life.

You fear trickle down red...haha. I don't mind red. I did like Jessica Biel's hair..for a lazy saturday. There were a bit too many chigons going on. Way too many white or neutral gowns for me. I like colour.

Well...That wraps up the Oscars for me....

  24. Yeah, me to. Maybe next year I'll actually see more than 3 of the movies!

    peace out
